Virtual Tour Experience Microsite

Ramapo College had previously enlisted the services of an external company, YouVisit, to launch a virtual tour of the campus for prospective students. However, seeking both cost savings and greater control over content updates, my supervisor reached out to me to bring this virtual tour experience in-house.

My Role: Recognizing the need for a solution, I embarked on the journey of creating a microsite. While initially given only a basic directive involving videos and images, I took the initiative to meticulously craft the site’s blueprint. My vision extended beyond a mere image gallery; I organized information by campus areas, ensuring that prospective and current students could immerse themselves in a multifaceted exploration of the campus’s various points of interest.

To bring this concept to life, I conscientiously curated content, pulling from the transcript of the YouVisit tour and other existing media. Collaborating closely with the Public Relations Specialist, I diligently tailored the content to seamlessly integrate with the microsite’s purpose.

Beyond designing a visually striking and responsive website, I conceived and executed the overarching concept that defines this website for the College. My commitment extends to ongoing enhancements, as I will continue to add additional sections and make improvements wherever necessary, ensuring that “Your Virtual Tour Experience” remains a compelling and dynamic resource for the College community.
